Principles of Personal Data Protection

Your personal data will be stored securely in accordance with the controller’s security policy and only for the necessary duration to fulfill the purpose of processing. Access to your personal data will be granted exclusively to persons authorized by the controller to process personal data, who process them according to the controller’s security policy.

Your personal data will be stored in accordance with the controller’s Records Management Plan and Information on Processing Purposes, which forms an annex to this document.

On what basis will your data be processed?

Your personal data will be processed on the basis of special legal regulations and processing purposes specified by the controller. These are individually listed in the Information on Processing Purposes, which forms an annex to this document.

Will your personal data be provided outside the European Union?

Transfer of personal data to a third country or international organization is not carried out.

Will your data be used for automated individual decision making?

Personal data will not be used for automated individual decision making, including profiling.

How long will your personal data be retained?

The retention of personal data we process about you is subject to Act No. 395/2002 Coll. on Archives and Registries in connection with the Controller’s Records Management Plan, approved by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic.

  • – In the event the legal basis is a contract: Providing personal data is a contractual requirement. The data subject is obliged to provide personal data; without providing such data, it is not possible to enter into a contractual relationship.
  • – In the event the legal basis is a law: Providing personal data is a legal requirement. The data subject is obliged to provide personal data; otherwise, proper performance of the controller’s obligations arising from the relevant generally binding legal regulations is not possible.
  • – In the event the legal basis is consent: the data subject may revoke consent at any time.
  • – In the event the legal basis is a legitimate interest, the purpose of processing is specified.

What rights do you have?

  • – Withdrawal of consent – In cases where we process your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. Consent can be withdrawn by sending the withdrawal electronically to the email address of the responsible person or controller, in writing, or in person to the controller or responsible person. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing of personal data carried out based on the consent before its withdrawal.
  • – Right of access – You have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data we process about you, as well as information on how we use your personal data. In most cases, your personal data will be provided in written form unless you request a different method of provision. If you have requested the provision of this information electronically, it will be provided to you electronically, if technically feasible.
  • – Right to rectification – We take appropriate measures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the information we have about you. If you believe that the data we have is inaccurate, incomplete, or not up to date, please do not hesitate to request us to correct, update, or supplement this information.
  • – Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) – You have the right to request us to erase your personal data, for example, if the personal data we have about you is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. However, your right must be assessed considering all relevant circumstances, especially whether we are obliged to further process this data based on law or other generally binding legal regulations; in such a case, your request could not be complied with.
  • – Right to restriction of processing – Under certain circumstances, you have the right to request us to stop using your personal data. This includes cases where you believe that the personal data we have about you may be inaccurate or when you believe that we no longer need to use your personal data.
  • – Right to data portability – Under certain circumstances, you have the right to ask us to transfer the personal data you provided to us to another third party of your choice. However, the right to data portability only applies to personal data that we have obtained from you based on your consent or based on a contract in which you are one of the contracting parties.
  • – Right to object – You have the right to object to the processing of data based on our legitimate interests. If you believe that we do not have a legitimate interest in processing, you have the opportunity to object; if it is shown that our stated legitimate interest does not outweigh your interests, we will not further process your personal data.
  • – Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – If you believe that your personal data is being processed unfairly or unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, telephone number: +421 /2/ 3231 3214, email: statny.dozor@pdp.gov.sk, https://dataprotection.gov.sk. If you submit a request electronically, it must meet the requirements according to § 19 para. 1 of Act No. 71/1967 Coll. on Administrative Proceedings (Administrative Code).
